Malis Dental Clinic joined the ICOI World Congress 2018 organized by International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) hosted from September 27 - 29, 2018 at Bellagio Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada, United States of America.

The purposes of the congress was to share knowledge to professional dentists and allow them to learn the latest scientific literature relating to peri-implantitis and mucositis to avoid dental implant related complications; to understand the importance of the dental implant pre-treatment factors (i.e. medical evaluation, radiographic evaluation, pharmacologic intervention) that affect success rates; to understand the etiologic factors that directly and indirectly influence peri-implant infections; to understand limitations of surgical and non-surgical peri-implantitis treatment options as well as prevention of bone resorption and peri-implant infections.

It was an exciting 3 days event and a lot of the professional dentists from all over the world joined together to share knowledge on modern global education for implant practice. There were presentations about the FDI-ICOI newest research results on peri-implantitis prevention, diagnostic and treatment options to avoid dental implant related complications as well as exhibitions to showcase the latest technology in the industry.

We were of course very happy to be part of the congress and had the opportunity to witness the newest research results of the diagnosis and treatment plan of Mucositis and Peri-implantitis and of course how to implement them successfully in our daily work.
